Welcome to Hedeturist
Hedeturist is a self-catering accommodation situated in Hede, Härjedalen municipality. Hedeturist ownes and operates by volunteers from a club from Uppsala. The club was started by hiking and ski enthusiasts in 1972 when they built the house with space for members and rental rooms for guests.
From Hede sees Sonfjället (1278 meters above sea level) and it is one of Sweden's bear-dense areas.
In Hede area are several nature reserves: Hede forest, Brovallvålen, Grand Ridge, Kilbäcksskiftet, Henvålen, Nyvallens Nature Reserve. Around Hede are many more peaks: Husberget, Säterberget and Klockarberget. Close Hede is also Särvfjället. Ljusnan river runs through the village, with tributaries Lunan and Kvarnån.
